Did you know.. When you switch from commercial shampoo with its detergents and chemicals, your hair will go through an adjustment period. It can take several weeks to rid your hair of detergent residue, so please give your new shampoo bar time before you decide it isn't for you. Plus your scalp and hair follicles are learning how to produce there own natural oils without all the chemicals! Patience and time, my friends, be sure you allow enough time. Your hair will feel different than it does when you use commercial shampoo, but trust me, it'll be ok. Rinse your hair very well. It will still feel different, but don't panic, it really is ok. After shampooing with a shampoo bar and rinsing out all the suds, rinse your hair with a combination of vinegar and water. You can use white vinegar or apple cider vinegar or even homemade vinegar, it doesn't matter. You'll notice the difference immediately in how your hair feels now, it's smoother and softer. The vinegar restores your hair's pH as well as helping to detangle and soften your hair. I am currently working on a conditioner bar that will help restore the pH balance in your hair instead of pouring vinegar on your head because let’s be honest, it doesn’t smell the best! Our shampoo bars are made without sulfates, parabens, triclosan, or polyethylene glycol. Many of these ingredients can disrupt our hormones! 🐓

I have been using these shampoo bars for a week now and at first I won’t lie the initial wash was rough. I thought what in the world my hair feels awful when I rinsed it, but I quickly realized why and that it was actually cleansing instead of pouring a bunch of chemicals on my head. Since using these bars my hair lose when I wash has gone down from a handful to a few strands, that in it self is amazing! But I have also noticed my hair feels fuller and has more body, it’s not lifeless and flat to my head, the shine is so amazing as well!
